Here is your daily encouragement words and thoughts. Today I bring you encouragement from Exodus 19:1618

16 On the third day in the morning there was thunder and lightning and a dense cloud on the mountain, and the sound of a very loud horn; all the people who were in the camp trembled. 17 Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their place at the foot of the mountain. 18 Now Mount Sinai was completely covered with smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire, and its smoke went up like the smoke of a great furnace, and the whole mountain shook violently.

Today life is turning a little more back to normal. The fear and trembling of the last week has subsided a bit. My office, last Tuesday morning was hit by lightning. It was a very large direct hit. It took out lots of equipment but no one was hurt and no buildings burnt. I was very blessed not to have had more damage than I did have.

As I sat down to do the blog today I wondered how Lightning and thunder fit into things from the bible perspective. So I searched on Lightning and Exodus 19:16 was the first match.

Here we have God visiting the Mountain. Thunder and lightning were the order of the day as God arrived. All the people in the camp trembled.

Lightning has tremendous power by what I saw in the remainder of what was in my office. I have new respect for Lightning. It also reminds me of just how powerful our God is.
