Here are some encouraging words and thoughts. Today I bring you encouragement from Romans 1
Romans
From Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God. This gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures, concerning his Son who was a descendant of David with reference to the flesh, who was appointed the Son-of-God-in-power according to the Holy Spirit by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him we have received grace and our apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of his name. You also are among them, called to belong to Jesus Christ. To all those loved by God in Rome, called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

I often struggle with being called to belong to Jesus Christ. I am just another person walking the ground of this planet we call earth. This old planet is full of folk and we are expanding in numbers day by day. Each day as I stumble and stumble through the wilderness of the day, I keep encountering the grace and peace that Paul talks about in the letter to the Romans.
When we look at the writings of the bible we can see again and again the work of God when He enter into lives. When He enters into your life your life as you know it changes. Part of it is becoming aware that you are, part is that you become aware of the connection that you have to God.
There is a drive within us to be independent, to be the kid with the new bike and the training wheels. We so desperately want to get rid of the training wheels. We ride that bike for many many years with out the training wheels but sooner or later we reach the point where we again need the training wheels to ride.
It is like that with our relationship to God. We try so hard to make it under our own strength and we run so so hard until we reach a point where we have no choice but to accept the training wheels of God's love, God's peace and the grace He so freely gives.
So later today when you stumble, thank God for His "training wheels", the peace the love and the grace that will see us through the day.
Amen..........................
