Today I bring you encouragement from Psalm 20:1-9
May the Lord answer you when you are in trouble; may the God of Jacob make you secure!
2 May he send you help from his temple;from Zion may he give you support!
3 May he take notice of your offerings;may he accept your burnt sacrifice! (Selah)
4 May he grant your heart’s desire;may he bring all your plans to pass!
5 Then we will shout for joy over your victory; we will rejoice in the name of our God!
May the Lord grant all your requests!
6 Now I am sure that the Lord will deliver his chosen king; he will intervene for him from his holy heavenly temple, and display his mighty ability to deliver.
7 Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we depend on the Lord our God.
8 They will fall down, but we will stand firm.
9 The Lord will deliver the king; he will answer us when we call to him for help!

I live in North America. It is way too easy here to put your trust in chariots or horses or stock brokers. We have become a society that does not trust in God, but rather in ourselves or the tools we surround ourselves with. We often look to God for that second opinion to tell us yup we are okay and doing well. Our psalm gives us a warning here.
"Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we depend on the Lord our God. They will fall down, but we will stand firm."
The Psalmist suggest that we should depend on our Lord our God and if we do we will stand firm.
Over and over and over again I have to learn the lesson that God is in control and even though his steps seem so out of place in our lives we must heed His guidance through His word.
I do believe that this psalm was a prayer for someone. I think it is one that we need to pray for each other. I know that I need someone to pray it over me.
"May the Lord answer you when you are in trouble"
"May He send you help from his temple"
"May He give you support!"
"The Lord will deliver the king; he will answer us when we call to him for help!"
Amen -- Let it be so!

I am encouraged inthat I know there is another brother out there that I can lift up and encourage. Seemingly small things can be huge as we seek to serve the Lord, in serving one another. Thank you, brother, for giving me the opportunity to bless you. What an awesome God we serve!
Glorfindel says,
To trust God to meet daily needs...need to remember that sometimes myself. Read tha Psalm to Jax. Seems that I call upon the Lord to help in crisis, yet, need to remember...He is there for me 24/7. All He asks is for our faith and reverence and trust.
